Crawl Space Restoration
A Crawl Space Restorationis needed when at least 30% of the crawl space including insulation, vapor barrier, foundation, and footings are contaminated with rodent droppings or urine. This can become a health hazard to the home owner, as the rodent droppings dry, they become air born, then vaccuumed into the air ducts, and delivered into the home. Our crawl space restoration is the process of removing insulation, vapor barrier and other loose debris from a crawl space due to rodent (or other vertebrate animal) contamination. By removing the insulation and vapor barrier, we are eliminating the rodent harborage and communication barrier, making the area less desirable for existing and future rodent activity. We also remove existing rodent droppings from thefoundation, mudsill, and footers. After cleanup is completed, we go throughwith a “fine-toothed-comb” inspecting for any possible rodent entry points that would allow future contamination. We repair/ replace any missing or damaged vent screens and fill plumbing entry points with an expanding foam or copper mesh. Finally, we install new 6 ml vapor barrier and decontaminate the crawl space with an anti-microbial fogger. Some benefits of a completed crawl space restoration are improved air quality and energy efficiency in the house, and no more future mice, rat, possum, or raccoon activity. Oftentimes plumbing leaks, dangerous electrical hazards, and wood destroying organisms can be discovered. These problems are often overlooked, because they are concealed by the insulation.
Crawl Space Restoration
Crawl space restorations can expose hidden electrical hazards and termite evidence.
All rodent droppings are swept up off the footing, mudsill, and air ducts.
All insulation is removed, bagged up, and hauled away.
Each crawl space restoration comes with a decontamination, eliminating air-bourne bacteria.
Everything is cleaned out and restored back to new.
Installing vapor barrier to code is essential for keeping out excessive moisture.
Old vapor barrier is stripped out and replaced with new 6ml vapor barrier.
Once a crawl space is cleaned out, decontaminations will disinfect and deoderize the crawl space.
Once the restoration is complete, air duct insulation installment is available.
We provide insulation installment after the rodent infestation is completely eliminated.
We provide water pipe insulation to prevent pipe leaks form freezing temperatures.
We recommend clean up when 30% of the crawl space is contaminated.
We reinstall supreme Roxul inulation (fiber-glass free) made out of lava rock to prohibit rodent harboraging.
Crawl Space Contamination and Damage
All contaminated vapor barrier is removed, bagged, and hauled away. We provide a safe route for removing waste.
Close up view of mice contamination. Once rodent dropping become air-bourne, they may be a health concern.
Damaged insulation does not keep it's thermal barrier. New insulation will save on energy.
Oppossums & Raccoons like to pull down insulation and use it a bedding.
Raccoons can do a lot of damage to your crawl space. We offer crawl space decontaminations.
Rat droppings found on footers and mudsill. We sweep up the contamination.
Rat nest found on top of the insulation in the crawl space. Be proactive, call for a pest control inspection.
You would be surprised what a crawl space inspection can discover. Dead mammal removal, no problem!
